Transforming Data Collection with Automation: A Success Story from Dharamshala.co

Recently, a client presented us with a unique challenge, they needed detailed information about hospitals in Delhi, starting from the third page of Google search results. This information was crucial for their performance marketing strategy. To address this challenge efficiently, we utilised ZeroWork, an automation platform designed to manage such tasks with accuracy.

The Challenge: Efficient Data Collection

 

Our goal was to gather in-depth information about the leading hospitals in Delhi, a task that typically involves considerable manual effort.

The traditional approach would involve searching for hospitals online, visiting each website, and manually entering the data into a database. This method is not only labour-intensive but also susceptible to errors.

First Taskbot: Extracting Hospital Website Links

 

To tackle this, we developed our first taskbot using ZeroWork. This bot was programmed to search for “best hospitals in Delhi” on Google, beginning from the third page of search results. It then extracted the links to hospital websites from five pages of results and stored them in a ZeroWork table.

This web scraping method enabled us to compile a comprehensive list of hospital websites quickly, saving significant time and removing the need for manual data entry.

Second Taskbot: Gathering Contact Emails

 

With the hospital links collected, the next step was to extract contact emails from each site. We created a second taskbot to automate this process.

This bot was set up to open each link, search the website for email addresses using specific keywords, and record the emails in a new column labelled “Email” in the ZeroWork table.

The taskbot effectively navigated the websites and retrieved the required contact information without manual intervention.

The Advantages of Automation

 

The implementation of these taskbots highlighted the substantial benefits of automation in streamlining complex processes. By using ZeroWork, we accelerated the data collection and email extraction processes. What would have taken hours or even days was accomplished in a fraction of the time with minimal manual input.
