At Government Post Graduate College in Dharamshala, Dharamshala.co organised a Pre-Placement Talk that undoubtedly left a lasting impact on over 60 MBA students. Supported by Dr. Naresh Sharma, the MBA Coordinator, Dr. Meghna Sood, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Ankita Sood, Assistant Professor, the session covered essential topics for career readiness.
The session was led by Varun Rattan Singh, the founder of Dharamshala.co. He emphasised practical strategies for time management and the importance of internships alongside academic studies. Discussions included how to take ownership of career paths and understand employer expectations. Effective communication skills were also highlighted as crucial for success.
During the session, he explored effective time management strategies. Practical tips and techniques were shared to help students balance their academic responsibilities with extracurricular activities and internships. The importance of allocating time wisely to maximise productivity and achieve goals was underscored.
The pivotal role of internships in complementing academic learning was another focal point. He also highlighted the significance of gaining hands-on experience in real-world settings to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to their chosen fields. Students were encouraged to actively seek out internship opportunities to broaden their horizons and increase employability.
Additionally,he stressed the importance of fostering a sense of ownership in one’s workplace. Based on feedback received, the session garnered significant interest, with 21 students expressing a desire to join our company. We are also excited to announce that we recently hired our first intern from the MBA department, marking the beginning of what we hope will be a fruitful and ongoing collaboration with the college.
