In the lively city of Mumbai, our WomenLead India journey reached its final destination as we gathered for the grand graduation ceremony and concluded our enriching program sessions. Fellowship program, powered by the Reliance Foundation and Vital Voices. This event marked a significant chapter in my journey with Dharamshala.co, and I’m happy to share the experience.
The WomenLead India Fellowship, a collaboration between the Reliance Foundation and Vital Voices, is all about empowering women leaders across India and giving them a strong support system. Vital Voices, an organisation based in the United States, played a vital role in bringing this initiative to life.
The program aims to run annually in India, and we are proud to be part of the inaugural pilot batch. It handpicked 50 women from various parts of the country, all engaged in entrepreneurship related to rural development, sports development, skill development, and more. Each of us had to present a project we were passionate about, and for me, that was Dharamshala.co – a community that focuses on skill development.
This year-long program provided us with a mentor and covered various topics, from finance to dealing with imposter syndrome, understanding costs, and brand marketing. Most importantly, it connected us with experts and valuable resources. The best part was that this support wouldn’t end with the program; they emphasised always being reachable for continued assistance when needed.
The primary goal of the program was to help us better understand our projects. We assessed the strengths and areas for improvement, and the program promised to bridge those gaps through mentoring and connecting us with potential investors.
The WomenLead India Fellowship also provided an excellent opportunity for networking. I met incredible women from diverse fields, each with their unique stories and visions for change. The exchange of ideas and experiences was enriching and promises potential collaborations in the future.
For Dharamshala.co, this program was a platform to showcase our efforts in technology and skill development, letting people know about our mission to create opportunities for individuals to thrive in today’s world.
My experience with the WomenLead India Fellowship has been transformative. It has strengthened my commitment and opened doors to new possibilities.
